San Diego, born and raised.
Bolaños, with the ñ. I’m Mexican-American, a dad, and the guy behind the camera at every family thing. Here’s the rest of the story, in pictures.
I’ve marketed a ~$20B digital bank, B2B software, and now the #1 real estate team in California by homes sold. The thread through all of it: I like taking a product to market, and I like proving what it brought in.
Most of what I build starts with someone in my family asking for help. My brother-in-law’s landscaping company and my uncle’s tire shop are my first clients.
San Diego, all my life.
Born and raised. Marina sunsets, trolley rides and tacos are the default settings.
Every project I take on starts here, usually with someone I already know.
The reason for all of it.
My wife, our son, a seal-point cat and a very fast dog. I’m the guy behind the camera at every family thing.
My dad’s family is from Oaxaca, and that heritage shows up in everything I make. It’s also why I offer English and Spanish marketing.
Brown and gold, forever.
Petco Park is my happy place. I’ll talk lineups with anyone who stands still long enough.
Range nights and too many swing videos.
Rounds with the boys, and a habit of studying swing sequences frame by frame. It’s the same way I study marketing: take it apart, keep what works, write down the numbers.
Lake bass, bay sessions.
Early mornings on the water, and a gear habit I won’t defend.
Small trees, long games.
A small collection, a greenhouse, and one tree I’m still sorry about. Bonsai taught me patience, and that the best results come from small, steady changes.
Oaxaca in everything.
My dad’s family is from Oaxaca. The food, the color and the family gatherings shape how I see good design and good stories.
