People and AI · Whissel Beer Group
The right seat first, then the right tools
Problem
The team needed more output, and I wanted the people already here to grow into it. Faster output also brings more mistakes, like wrong prices, stale stats and off-brand copy.
Decision
- Keep a talented field coordinator and move her into an internal media specialist seat, where her strengths fit best. Then train her on AI.
- Teach an international team member to build with Claude Code.
- Set guardrails before speed. People and AI write from approved claims, real listing data and one brand voice.
Result
She moved into a seat built on her strengths, and both now have AI in their daily work. A fact-check now catches wrong listing details before anything goes out, and copy comes from approved claims only.
Next: track the hours AI saves each week and put them back into agent requests.
